After following some links my Java open source CMS list has grown:
Lenya seems a good option, maybe I’m too fan of Apache Foundation.
I’ll make a comparison between them, checking
- Support of standard portlets JSR-168
- Internationalization (content and administration)
- Search of web and documents
- Performance and cluster support
- License style and price (GPL may be inappropiate)
- Support available
- More to come…
It’ll be a good boost for the project chosen by my company because we develop CMS for major enterprises and government institutions.

Carlos, Could you please post the results? I have tried to evaluate OpenCMS but I hit couple of road blocks (because of poor documentation).
I have tried Magnolia as well but it does not have LDAP integration. Nor does OpenCMS (I suppose). Or if it does have such support, its not documented!
Does your evaluation criteria include, JSR 170 (Java Content Repository API)?

In my opinion, the more mature /usable is jahia. other (untested) java cms projects : Graffito, mir.indymedia.org, APLAWS+, OpenToro, MMBase, LUTECE, InfoGlue.

I’m surprised you’re not taking a look at dotCMS. It seems it would meet all of your requirements and then some.
